‘Call of the Wild’ was my response to the traditional baubles and sparkles that had dominated so many festive campaigns. The aim was to inject some dynamism and create a memorable campaign amongst Grosvenor Casinos’ competitors.
Five characters were created: the Husky, the Arctic Fox, The She-Wolf, The Bear and The Stag, each representing a casino visitor. All of them had their own traits, their own ‘uniforms’ and most importantly, life. A world was build and we invited our customers to come in from the cold.
Every character was crafted purely from available stock imagery, fur was retouched by hand. In the case of ‘Foxy’, she had sleeves added her dress. to complete the wild bunch. Such care was taken, that the She-Wolf went through a series of wardrobe changes to ensure that she had he most appropriate outfit for her adventure to Grosvenor Casinos.
I created a full suite of retail/POS items, the digital and motion graphics and the theme led to the PR stunt at London Waterloo Station (all photography by me)
